The Proposal...and other stuff

That's a movie title, isn't it?  Well, I'll get to that in a minute.  First, I need to cover a few housekeeping items.

Now that 2013 is in full swing (I mean, it is basically February already), it is time that I finally release my 2013 investment guides.  Things do not always go as planned....I planned to have it out about 2 months ago, but then came the holidays and, well, you know how that goes.  I promise, it will be out soon. Just a couple of tweaks on my part, a couple of tweaks on the graphic designer's part (No, I do not do my own graphics. Can you imagine?), and it will be ready to go.

If you have me booked under the current pricing guide, I will honor those prices.  If you have requested wedding info and have not booked, I will honor those prices/packages until the new wedding guide is released.  Once the new guide is ready, those prices/package will go into effect and the old guide goes in the vault:)

Please remember, when considering me as your wedding photographer, I take on a very limited number of wedding commissions each year. This is primarily because weddings are 99.9% of the time held on Saturdays and I want to spend as much weekend time as I can with my family.

I have been asked about 2013 Beach Sessions.  As soon as I know some firm dates I will pass those along.

Although this is a great tool, I post most of my updates and announcements to Facebook before the blog.  The best way to know of all of the AGP happenings, dates, deadlines, etc., is to like my FB page.  While you're at it, go to the upper right area of this page and sign up to receive the AGP Newsletter.  Recipients are given a few perks, like the opportunity to book mini-sessions before everyone else.

There is more that I need to go over, but it will just have to wait until another post because I am anxious to talk about The Proposal.

A few weeks ago, I received a call from Joseph.  He was looking for a photog to shoot a proposal.  That's right! He was about to propose to his girlfriend (Rachael) and wanted it all captured on film (or, in my case, a CF card).  He had hatched a sneaky plan.  She had recently given him a new putter and he told her that he wanted to swing by the golf course to test it out on their way to dinner.  Little did she know that I and my partner in crime, Renee', would be there.  Not only did he plan to propose, but dinner that night wasn't just dinner. He brought together family and friends to surprise her with a party.  Isn't that incredible?  Sorry, girls! Joseph is officially taken because Rachael said YES!

Here is just a smidgen of what we captured:

(Note:  Next time I post this many pics, I'm using a Blog-it Board!)

I will never forget the look on her face when Joseph told Rachael to look over my way and she realized I had been snapping away. Priceless!

Joseph, you are sweet and kind beyond words.  Rachael is so very lucky and, after meeting her, I know that you are incredibly lucky, too!  Congratulations, again! I can't wait for the wedding:)
